Manual técnico da bracatinga (Mimosa scabrella Benth)

The State of Paraná has been increasing the Integrated Forestry Development Plan (IFDP) where the bracatinga Mimosa scabrella Benth has had special emphasis. Within the framework, of an agreement between the Governments of France and Brazil and the FAO, the GCP/BRA/025/FRA Project is being executed. In one pilot watershed, the basic objectives are to identify the limiting conditions and to improve the knowledge about the traditional bracatinga cultivation system, as well as to develop a methodology to plan and execute agroforestry development plans, considering technical, economical and social aspects. This document accumulated the scientific knowledge which was produced by EMBRAPA-CNPF, supported by the Pilot Project. It offers the synthetical view required by field staff and other agri-forestry officers.
