The food and agriculture corporation of Trinidad and Tobago, an agency set up for corporate action in the agricultural sector under the aegis of the Ministry of Finance and Planning is cooperating with the Orange Grove National Sugar Company of Trinidad and Tobago in the development of a banana enterprise geared to the production of green bananas either for fruit market or for use as a basic carbohidate food item to partially displace rice and other wheat derived staples
