Influencia da citocinina BAP e concentracoes dos componentes do meio MS na micropropagacao do café Catuaí

Explants with a pair of coffee buds cv. Catuaí Vermelho CH 2077-2-5-44, were excised from "in vitro" established young plants, and inoculated in medium containing different concentration of the "MS" medium components (25 percent, 50 percent, 75 percent, and 100 percent - integral "MS"), supplemented with 0, 3, 6 and 9 mg/L Benzilaminopurine (BAP). The pH was ajusted to 5,9 prior the autoclaving process and agar (7 g/L) was used as gelling agent. Evaluations were performed 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after inoculation (DAI) observing the number of shoots and leaves. The weight of dryed material was evaluated only at 120 DAI. For the total production of shoots and leaves, the use of complete "MS" medium supplemented with 9 mg/L BAP showed the best result at 120 DAI. When analysed at 90 DAI, the use of 6 mg/L BAP was the best. For the production of dryed matter, the best combination was 9 mg/L BAP, added to medium containing 75 percent of "MS" components.
