Nova dieta merídica para criacao de Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari) (Coleoptera: Scolytidae)
More than 140 diets recipies in which were combined quality, quantity, texture of the ingredients and way of the diet preparation were tested in order to reduce cost of production and to develop a commercial diet for the coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari). The new simple diet contains: boiled water coffee beans meal, sugar, torula yeast, casein, wesson salts, agar, ethanol and antibiotic ingredients.
