Producción y efectos competitivos de los árboles de sombra Cordia alliodora y Erythrina poeppigiana en un sistema agroforestal con Coffea arabica

In 1983, a systematic spacing experiment was established at CATIE, Turrialba, Costa Rica, to study the effects of competition on the productivity of coffee (Coffea arabica cv. Caturra) and the shade trees laurel (Cordia alliodora; timber producer; 110-300 trees ha exponente -1) and poro (Erythrina poeppigiana; service function; 140-280 trees ha exponente -1). Linear regression models were derived to explain the response of the coffee and the trees to varying tree stocking.
