Rapport :

Reference is made to the Arabica breeding program carried at the Instituto de Investigaçao Agronómica de Angola until 1975. This program started with the evaluation of the cultivars already existing in Angola and the introduction of rust resistant material from the Centro de Investigaçao das Ferrugens do Cafeeiro. Based on the field behaviour of this coffee collection, quite a large number of crosses was made between the best coffee material with the purpose of assembling in the same plant good cultural characteristics and one or more factors for resistance to the rust
