Correlation studies in coffee, 1: Preliminary studies on correlation between stem girth and ripe cherry yield in some coffee selection
In coffee, a knowledge of the nature an extent of correlation between yield and morphological characters can be useful aid in selecting high yielding individual trees for progeny tests. T. Singh Dhaliwal in Puerto Rican found that stem girth and width of canopy have a positive and significant correlation with cherry yield of Puerto Rican and Columnaris varieties of Arabica coffee grown on multiple stem system.
