Studies on nematodes in coffee soils of South India, 2: Occurence of four species of Hemicriconemoides (Ericonematidae) and studies on the life history of H. cocophillus
Vital measurements of Hemicriconemoides chitwoodi, H. gaddi, H. mangiferae and H. cocophillus occurring in coffee soils of South India are reported. Life history of H. cocophillus has been studied. Embryonic development from single celled egg-stage to hatching of second-stage larva requires 11 to 12 days. Larva, both in male and female, has four moults. Extra cuticle which is present in adult female is the additional cuticle formed during or immediately after the fourth moult
