Meloidogyne coffeicola, destruidor e insidioso nematoide do cafeeiro

This note relates to an observation made in a coffee plantation near Tejupá, Sao Paulo State, infested with the nematode Meloidogyne coffeicola. It was observed that apparently normal plants appear adjacent to severely defoliated plants. These normally appearing plants, however, showed severe damage to the root system. This indicates that apparently normal plants may be parasitized by this serious pest of coffee
