The performance of formulated mixtures of copper and organic fungicides against coffee berry disease (Colletotrichum coffeanum) in Kenya

Four proprietary mixtures of recommended copper and organic fungicides were evaluated for the control of CBD. The results indicated that SDS 64220 (0.7 percent) and Dyrene C47 (0.82 percent) gave good control of CBD, resulting into high yields. Dacobre 500 (0.7 percent) gave some control of CBD but yields realized from plots sprayed with Dacobre 500 were lower than those from captafol sprayed plots. Kocide 357M (0.6 percent) controlled CBD in only one out of the three years tested. SDS 64220 and Dyrene C47 have been recommended for CBD control in Kenya. Tank mixtures of Daconil and Funguran, Dyrene and Cobox and Dyrene and Recop all gave good control of CBD and have been recommended for CBD control in Kenya
