Influencia de micorrizas vesicular-arbusculares no crescimento de mudas de cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.) em susbtrato com e sem matéria organica e diferentes doses de superfosfato simples
It was evaluated the effect of vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (VAM) on the development of coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica L.) grown on soil enriched or not with organic matter and differnt dosages of superphosphate. The soil utilized was a distrophic Dusk Red Latossol. The source of organic matter was cow manure and the proportion of soil: organic matter was 70:30 by volume. The soil mix was desinfested with methyl bromide and amended with superphosphate at rates of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kg/m3 of soil mixture. The fungus used was Gigaspora margarita (Becker & Hall). One hundred and twenty days after inoculation and transplanting, the inoculated plants, specially those grown on soil amended with organic matter, showed greater responses to the growth variables evaluated. The effects of superphosphate and the presence of organic matter on the effectiviness of the fungus and colonization of the roots are discussed
