New weeds in Kenya coffee - a short communication

A trial on herbicide weed control on two relatively new weeds in Kenya coffee. Parthenium and Lepidium weed species were conducted at Coffee Research Station, Ruiru between June and October, 1985. Glyphosate (36 ML) within the rates of application (2.78 - 5.57 l/ha) recommended by Coffee Research Foundation controlled the two weed species effectively. Paraquat (20 ML) and Linuron (50 WP) did not control the weeds at the applied rates
