Summer weather die back of coffee in Karnataka

Typical symptoms of summer weather dieback were found in the Ossoor Coffee State, Karnataka, India, in March 1985. In May apparently healthy bushes had shoots dying backwards. Pseudomonas syringae was identified in cultures of isolates from these plants. This appears to be the first report from India of an association of P. syringae with dieback or blight in coffee.
