Yield and response to fungicide and fertilizer of peasant-grown Arabica coffee on Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, 3: Effects of treatments and seasons on yield

Standard copper fungicide and nitrogen fertilizer treatments applied to Arabica coffee interplanted with bananas and shade trees increases crop yield significantly. There was no interaction between treatmenst but the effects were strictly additive. There was an effect of season on both yield and response to treatments; yields and treatment responses were lower in the first season than they were in the second and third seasons. The seasonal effect also varied between the different Chiefdoms
