Indian coffee is well-known for certain well defined characteristics like light body, mild acidity, pleasant aroma and flavour. These attributes are preliminary due to cultivation of coffee on soils rich in humus and iron, with good aeration and drainage, high altitudes and judicious shade under tropical rainfall conditions.
