Mode of feeding in coffee green bug, Coccus viridis
The mode of penetration of stylet and the site of feeding have been studied in coffee green bug, Coccus Viridis (Green) (Homoptera, Coccidae). Microscopical studies of the stylet inside the host tissue reveal that penetration in intracellular. In many sections, stylet sheaths were clearly visible. The feeding site was found to be mainly phloem tissue
