Possible resistance to the frost, confered by systemic phosphorated insecticides, applied to the control of Perileucoptera coffeella (Guerin-Men). The main objective of this note is to communicate an observation made in a field experiment, carried out in the Marilia county, State of Sao Paulo, to control the "bicho mineiro" (Perileucoptera coffeella). The treatments included two systemic insecticides - Thimet, Disyston - with several number of applications. A curious fact was observed - the coffee's plants which plots received treatments showed a great resistance to the frost effects when compared with test plots. In these one was observed a complete burning of the plants whereas in the treated plots were observed a slight burning in the borders of the leaves. Future experiments will be conducted to confirm and explain the observed fact
