In vitro studies on the efficacy of fungicides against Rhizoctonia solani the causal organism of collar rot of coffee seedlings
The fungicides, Bavistin 50 WP, Vitavax 20 EC, Vitavax 75 WP, Benlate 50 WP, Plantvax 20 EC and Rovral 50 WP were evaluated in vitro against Rhizoctonia solani. All the fungicides except Plantvax 20 EC were found effective, but their LD subíndice 50 values differed. Vitavax 20 EC was most toxic against mycelial growth. Its LD subíndice 50 value was the lowest as compared to other fungicides. Plantvax 20 EC was found ineffective even at high concentrations
