Investigation on side effects of B.H.C. on coffee in South India
Studies have shown that 1 B.H.C. Stem-swabs have no adverse effect on cup-quality of arabica coffee. Foliar sprays with 0.5 BHC for control of shot-hole borer of robusta also do not seem to affect cup-quality. Though Lindane (pure gamma isomer) has been found effective against cockchafers it has an adverse effect on roots of arabica seedlings. BHC foliar dusting seems of have an adverse effect on cup-quality
