Variacao genética de tres sistemas isoenzimáticos em clones de cacao (Theobroma cacao) da série Parinari
Preliminary studies were carried out to characterize clones of Parinari family and to study their population structure through isozymes. Extracts from young leaves tissue from 24 clones within this series were tested using MDH (malate dehydrogenase), IDH (isocitrate dehydrogenase) and DIA (diaphorase). Polymorphism was found in the three enzyme systems and for MDH and IDH one band in homozygous condition was not observed. The possible explanation for the results are presented.
