Sobrevivencia de plántulas de cacaueiro (Theobroma cacao) infestado com Phytophthora spp.

P. capsici, P. palmivora and P. citrophthora were compared in relation to their virulence to cacao seedlings of the susceptible clone SIAL 325. Seeds of this clone were planted on sterilized organic soil infested with micelia of the Phytophthora species cited above. Results showed that P. palmivora caused higher seedlings mortality followed by P. citrophthora, P. capsici was the least virulent, not differing from the control seedlings.
