Controle químico de Percolaspis ornata e Taimbezinhia theobromae em cacaueiro

Results are given of experiments whose objectives were to reduce insecticide dosages and evaluate the effectiveness of new active ingredients for chemical control of Percolaspis ornata and Taimbezinhia theobromae. Isoprocarb and carbaryl in liquid formulations and dry powder were not effective in controlling P. ornata. Isoprocarb was not effective against T. theobromae and carbaryl was slow in its effect against this insect, and acceptable level of control being obtained only 48 hours after application. Deltamethrine, endosulfan and a mixture of deltamethrine with dichlorvos were effective in controlling these chrysomelids.
