The propagation of cacao from cuttings
An improve technique for the propagation of cacao from cuttings without the use of expensive cement concrete propagators is described. In preliminary trials over 93 per cent success in rooting of stem and leaf cuttings was achieved in cloth-covered nursery beds containing rooting media of sand and coir dust. High atmospheric humidity was maintained over the nursery beds by allowing water to drip constantly on a row of porous bricks in the centre.
