Incompatibilidade em cacaueiro (Theobroma cacao L.): clones EEG13 e EEG65

Self-incompatibility was shown to occur in the clones EEG 13 and EEG 65. This is the first report of this phenomenon in clones selected in the original cacao population of Bahia and Espírito Santo, Brazil. Since these clones are inter-incompatible they may be considered to possess the same phenotype. Various hypothesis are proposed to explain the appearance of self-incompatibility in these clones.
