Resultados preliminares sobre a eficácia de Trichoderma viride no controle da vassoura-de-bruxa (Crinipellis perniciosa) do cacaueiro
The antagonistic action of Trichoderma viride on basidiocarp production of Crinipellis perniciosa under controlled and field conditions was evaluated by using dead brooms of cocoa, Brooms sprayed with a suspension of conidia were covered after one week by a white mass of spores of T. viride, which caused considerable reduction of basidiocarp production and halted the sporulation of C. perniciosa. Suppression of basidiocarp production was probably due to competion with sites and/or nutrients on the surface of the brooms. Additionally, it was observed that T. viride was resistant to some fungicides, "in vitro" and "in vitro", and it showed to be able to survive saprophytically under high temperatures
