The pattern of leaf production in cocoa and its influence on insect distribution and abundance
The present study was designed to elucidate the pattern of flushing in time and space in order to understand how insect pests interact with it; the long-term aim was to predict the distribution and abundance of these pests in order to control their abundance more effectively. Some information on the factors influencing flushing was also obtained and is discussed here.
