Respostas do cacaueiro ao nitrogenio, fósforo e potassio em solos da regiao cacaueira da Bahía, Brasil

This experiment was undertaken to determine the effects of increasing doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on the yield of cacao, cv. Catongo, grown on different southern Bahian soils. Results covering the period from 1970 to 1976 showed a significant (P major 0,05) increase on cacao production related to P, N and the N x P interaction. Potassium fertilizers had no influence upon yield and in addition decreased the effect due to phosphorus. The analytical data of the soils suggested an intensive leaching of K as the factor responsible for the lack of response to this nutrient
