Uma nova enfermidade foliar do cacaueiro (Theobroma cacao L.) causada pelo fungo Corynespora cassiicola (Berk & Curt) Wei

A new leaf spot of cocoa plants (Theobroma cacao L.) was discovered and described in Pará State, Brazil. The causal agent was identified as Corynespora cassiicola (Berk & Curt) Wei. Artificial inoculation confirmed its pathogenicity. Preliminar tests aiming disease control through the use of fungicides were conducted.
