Uma nova enfermidade foliar do cacaueiro (Theobroma cacao L.) causada pelo fungo Corynespora cassiicola (Berk & Curt) Wei
A new leaf spot of cocoa plants (Theobroma cacao L.) was discovered and described in Pará State, Brazil. The causal agent was identified as Corynespora cassiicola (Berk & Curt) Wei. Artificial inoculation confirmed its pathogenicity. Preliminar tests aiming disease control through the use of fungicides were conducted. This is the first report of the disease in endemic character considering the regions of the world were cocoa is grown
