Molhamento foliar em cafezal recepado e decotado

This paper reports on the study of the beginning termination and duration of the active period of leaf wetness in the coffee. Surface wetness was observed in two plots a vranged in a north-south orientation, on the sides of the plants facing east and west. One plot of trees was populated with high-level topped plants, the other with low-level topped plants. In the wetness, caused by dew, the beginning and the duration was decreased as a funtion of the increasing time lapse after rainfall. The length of the perio of wetness, whether caused by dew or by rain, was found to be greater on the side of the plant facing west, as compared to the side found east. Similarly, the length of period was found to be of longer duration in the plot with high-level topped tress as compared with the plot with low-level topped plants.
