Establishing links between perception research and education in biosphere reserves: some spanish examples

The importance of establishing links between perception research and environmental education in biosphere reserves is stressed and illustated using Spanish examples. Research and its applications are described with reegard to evaluation of the components of nature trails as stimuli for exploratory behaviour, landscape perception analysis by visitors and locals and 'plastic' exploration of biosphere reserve landscapes for educational purposes. The influence of historial socioeconomic backgrounds in biosphere reserve perception by local populations is discussed.
