Developing Georgia's coordinated water management program-surface, ground, quantity, and quality

The State of Geogia has established one agency to plan, manage, and regulate all water resource activities in the State. These activities include water allocation, the development of a State water management strategy, water quality programs, water conservation, and the State's geologia survey program. Two case studies are discussed in this paper to present the details, procedures, and effectiviness of the Georgia approach. An opportunity to integrate water management into a total environmental resources program now exists in Georgia
