Industrial forest exploitation units; a modern Mexican forest management system

Mexican forest law provides for Industrial Forest Exploitation Units, essentially a cooperative arrangement under which government controls the forest activity and industry processes the raw material. Most expenses for both aspects are assumed by industry. Under this system both large and small holdings can be brought under a single management system.
