With the aim of improving the reproductive performance of native goats in Venezuela different hormone treatments were used to synchronize estrus for natural breeding. To test the sites of insemination, 136 goats synchronized by treatment II were inseminated twice, 38 and 48 hours after sponge withdrawal using 300 x 10 6 sperm as fresh semen. The sites of insemination were vaginal, superficial and deep cervical, and intrauterine. The differences were significant. Their sucessful use is limited by nutritional and economic considerations
