The object of the problem was to study the effect of exogenous injectable vitamin A and carotene on the reproductive efficiency of bucks in summer season. There was significant improvement in vitality index. Total abnormalities and tail abnormalities were reduced significantly. Resistance of sperm to 1 percent NaCl solution increased; motility and density were improved with the vitamin A and carotene supplementation. However, semen volume, libido and live and dead count did not improve and were maintained to original levels. The concentration of sperm was significantly improved in the carotene group compared to control. In the vitamin A group this improvement was not significant.
