Canola meal as a protein supplement in dairy rations
A trial was conducted to evaluate canola meal (CM) as a single protein supplement in complete dairy diets. The cows were alloted to three isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets, containing either CM, cottonseed meal (CSM) or soybean meal (SBM). No differences were found for milk production, milk composition, fat corrected milk and feed intake. The results suggest that CM can be used in dairy diets at levels of 12 percent
