Volume III The market for processed fruits in North America
This study assesses the potential and directions of growth for processed tropical fruits in the North American market. First, analysis is focussed on processed tropical fruits, in general, and a short list of exotic fruits (passion fruit, mango, guava, naranjilla, cherimoya, babaco, tamarillo tamarind, carambola, prickly pear and soursop). Second, the processed tropical fruit market is considered, including role of fresh tropical fruit, the range of processed tropical fruit products, the current market and the historical trends in the market. Third, the perspective of marketing system participants is considered, covering trends, forecasted changes and areas of opportunity for new suppliers. Fourth, sales potential for new suppliers, specific sales opportunities, companies active in the market area and sources of information for new suppliers is analyzed. A summary, conclusions and 8 appendixes complete the document. (MIBA)
