Integration, adjustment policy and social equity

This articule comments in respect to income distribution is one which focuses on not just the 90's, but also on the 80's and the 70's depending on the country. This basically alludes to the hypothesis that there is a very worrisome timing coincidence between the economic reforms and sharp increases in income inequality. The author refers not only to reforms in trade, but the ones that typically ocurred simultaneously with trade, which is often labor market, privatization, etc.; whenever they were implemented: 70's, 80's or 90's. So that is of concern, and it has to be analyzed in more detail, country by country, and situation by situation. (MV)
