South American agriculture, changes and opportunities: domestic policies needed to compete at home and abroad

The overall title of this IPC meeting relates to the South changes and opportunities in agriculture in a period of intense change and volatility, not only in terms of prices in the international markets but also in government policies, technology and sociological issues. The following aspects briefly identified as key for the area, need policies that area: clear, stable, the international business environment, encourages investment and private sucess. (MV)
