On economic evaluation of technological innovations
This paper will focus on evaluation of system research results. Its objectives are to analyze the farmer's decision-making process as a key mechanism for successful farm system research, and to discuss the utilitiy and problems of the different techniques available for economic evaluation of technological innovations. It is not intended as an exhaustive analysis of the decisions theory. Instead, it aims to call the attention of farm system researchers to certain concepts, problems and implicatins that are often ignored when evaluating technological innovations
