Behavoir of varieties of banana silk and "Ouro da mata" in the South of Bahia region

The objetive of this study were evaluate th agronomic behavoir of two varieties of banana Silk and "Ouro da Mata" growing in oxisols in South Region of Bahia State, Brazil. Experimental design of randomized blocks with two treatments and three replicates were utilized. The characteristics evaluated were: plant height, pseudostem circumference, number of alive leaves in the harvest, bunch, hands and fruit weight, during the first four cycles. The results showed that the varieties silk and "Ouro da Mata" obtained similar agronomic behavoir.
