A new species of louse (Phthiraptera: Pediculidae) associated with Ateles (Primates: Atelidae)
A new species of louse, Parapediculus mendezi, (Phthiraptera: Pediculidae) associated with Ateles fuscipes (Primates: Atelidae), monkey of the New World, is described. This species is related to P. mjobergi. The taxonomic status of the genus is discussed.
