Origen y domesticación. Origem e domesticacao
The origins of peach palm can be traced to the independent domestication of several wild species found from Bolivia to Nicaragua by Amerindian tribes. Multiple hybridization events eventually produced a "synthetic species", Bactris gasipaes Kunth.
