El hongo Shiitake.
El Shiitake es muy apreciado por su agradable textura y exquisito sabor y por sus notables propiedades medicinales, aatributos que califican a este hongo como un exelente alimento funcional. En el Laboratorio de Hongos Comestibles y Medicinales [Departamento de Agronomía y CERZOS] se logró cultivar este hongo en troncos sintéticos hechos a base de cáscara de girasol.
