The structures sugarcane and citrus fruit in Alagoas, Pernambuco and São Paulo
This article intends to verify through a comparative descriptive analysis the sources of growth of crops sugar cane and citrus fruit in the municipalities that comprise the microregions da Mata Alagoana, Mata, Pernambuco Southern Forest North of Pernambuco and Ribeirão Preto in São Paulo, from Municipal Agricultural Research data from 1990 and 2012 (PAM-IBGE). Use the shift-share method as a means of generating relevant information for verification of specific regional problems. For Pernambuco there is a decay of sugarcane production and substitution by other activities, Alagoas is the State with the highest dependence on sugar cane production, but there is a need for technological improvement in cultivation for survival of culture, and São Paulo, stands out as the largest producer of sugar cane range, taking space from other cultures. In citrus, São Paulo presents industry crisis and its replacement by other cultures. In Alagoas, the citrus faces production problems, given low yield productive and marketing problems, so that there is the development of activities with the cattle and milk competing in the same productive space. Thus, in modern agribusiness must accompany the productive dynamics on the main trends of innovation, allowing for maintain the competitiveness of sector. The increase in competitiveness, as a result of high productivity and quality, with lower production costs, clearly points to stalkers, guidelines giving sustainability to the economy.

Este artigo verifica, por meio de uma análise comparativa descritiva, as fontes de crescimento das culturas canavieira e citrícola nos municípios das microrregiões da Mata Alagoana, Mata Setentrional Pernambucana, Mata Meridional Pernambucana e de Ribeirão Preto, SP, a partir de dados da Pesquisa Agrícola Municipal de 1990 e 2012 (PAM-IBGE). É utilizado o método shift-share como meio analítico de gerar informações relevantes para a verificação de problemas regionais específicos. Para Pernambuco, verifica-se decadência da produção canavieira e a substituição por outras atividades. Alagoas é o estado com maior dependência da produção canavieira, mas há necessidade de melhoria tecnológica do cultivo para a sobrevivência da cultura. Já São Paulo desponta como líder brasileiro da produção canavieira, que tem tomado espaço de outras culturas. Na citricultura, entretanto, São Paulo enfrenta crise – tem havido substituição por outras culturas. Também em Alagoas, a citricultura enfrenta problemas de baixo rendimento produtivo e de comercialização – a bovinocultura de corte e leite, por exemplo, competem no mesmo espaço produtivo.
