Most of dumpsites are located in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Northern Asian countries, namely in areas where more than two third of of the Earth’s population lives. According to World Health Organization (WHO), 24% of global burden of diseases could be attributed to the environment1 and for sure dumpsites have an important contribution.
