Terminal evaluation of the UNEP GEF project: Conservation of the biodiversity of the Paramo in the Northern and Central Andes

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP GEF project implemented between 2006 and 2012. The overall objective of the project was to provide assistance to the participating countries – Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela – in order to overcome the main obstacles to the conservation of biodiversity and to safeguard the hydrological and environmental services and functions of the Andean Páramo in general. the evaluation had two primary purposes to provide evidence of the results in order to meet accountability requirements; and to foster learning, feedback and knowledge through sharing results and lessons learned among UNEP, participants in the Project, GEF and its partners.
