The results of land treatment with olive oil mill wastewater ( pH 4-5, E.C. 7-11 dS m-1, COD 61-84 g L-1, BOD 24-40 g L-1, Kjeldahl-N 166-275 mg L-1, P 150-180 mg L-1, K 4.0-4.6 g L-1 and Na 600-800 mg L-1) are reported. For loading rates lower than 500 L m-2 year-1, high removal efficiencies and no effects of the treatment up to 1 m soil layer were obtained.
