The hydraulic landfill in Ecuador has a great social importance because it raises the standard of living of the most vulnerable sectors located in low densely populated areas and of scarce resources, in which, there are many diseases and difficulties for the performance of daily activities as education, work, deterioration or destruction of housing and material losses. This research responds to the need to disseminate and evaluate the experiences of hydraulic landfill in low-flood areas for social benefit made in Ecuador by the Navy Dredging Service, and whose most important projects have been located in the Lower Guayas River Basin. However, the positive social impact; land fill is a type of engineering work so requires good planning for the viability, in this research has raised the need to determine the types of damage that due to dredging work could be caused in the river channels that serve as a quarry for the material to be used for hydraulic fill. In last part, have been evaluated a proposal of minimum studies required for the execution of hydraulic fillings so as do not to affect the fluvial channel by the excavated material by dredging.
