Há diversos sistemas de manejo que protegem o solo da erosão e da degradação, conhecidos como manejos conservacionistas. Um deles é o Sistema de Plantio Direto (SPD), amplamente utilizado no Brasil, em cerca de 33 milhões de hectares. There are several management systems that protect the soil from erosion and degradation, known as conservationist management. One of these systems is No-Till Farming (NTF), widely used in Brazil, on roughly 33 million hectares of land.
