Monitoramento eletrônico do comportamento de novilhas de corte mantidas em sistema de ILPF.

Twenty-five Canchim heifers (24.2±0.5 months and 383.4±26.2 kg) were allocated in the pasture at full sun (PS, n=13) or with afforestation (iLPF, n=12). Each animal received a cervical electronic device to monitor its behavior during 94 consecutive days. Animals kept in PS remained idle for longer during morning and afternoon, which coincided with the highest BGHI values registered. Meanwhile, heifers of ILPF presented more active. Thus, the lowest BGHI recorded in shaded areas was one of the possible determinants for behavioral changes evaluated with the use of the electronic system of monitoring.
